Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Careers – SAP Professional Lectures at the Faculty

On 2 October 2026, the Head of Supply Chain at SAP Hungary Kft. delivered lectures to BSc Computer Science Engineering students at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. Presented in Hungarian and English, the sessions introduced SAP’s technological and business solutions and highlighted learning, professional development, and career opportunities for students.

The first part of the programme covered SAP’s free learning opportunities for students, including its system of professional certificates. The presentation introduced SAP’s cloud-based learning platform, outlining available training, self-development resources, and key professional competencies that support future careers.
Students also learned about SAP’s product portfolio and the company’s internship and employment opportunities. These roles allow students to gain practical experience in an international technology and business environment while still at university.
The second part of the lectures addressed current supply chain challenges and the technological and business solutions available. Special emphasis was placed on artificial intelligence-based solutions, which increasingly optimize business processes and support decision-making.
The speaker used practical examples to show how SAP’s intelligent technology solutions help companies operate more efficiently and improve performance. The examples also demonstrated the benefits of integrating artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and enterprise resource planning systems.
The programme provided students with direct insights from an industry expert on current developments in information and business technologies, as well as educational and career opportunities within the SAP ecosystem.
The event highlighted the value of collaboration between academia and industry. Sharing real-world experience supports the development of students’ professional competencies and better prepares them for the labour market.
